Fees & Payments
Payment of fees is a key part of the business contract linked to our therapy contract and it is the responsibility of you as the client to undertake this. I would be grateful if payment is made at least 24 hours prior to the session, and notification of the payment sent by email or text and never any later than the day before your therapy session. Payment can be by via either paypal or BACS. Prepaying for a block of sessions e.g. 6 sessions to minimise admin effort is also easily accommodated (receipts and confirmations provided).
Please note any payment not made prior to a session will mean the session cannot go ahead until this payment takes place. This not only keeps good boundaries but means your therapy session is not lost with extra administration.
Late cancellation charges
I do genuinely try to be considerate and flexible regarding occasional changes and cancellations of appointments. Nonetheless, just as you would expect me to be present and on time for you, it is important that you are able to do the same. If we have an appointment scheduled then I am making a full commitment to you and am therefore unable to undertake other commitments to other clients. So, if a cancellation is made less than 24 hours before the session then I reserve the right to charge the full fee or a partial fee. All outstanding fees must be paid prior to booking the next session unless agreed otherwise.
This also preserves our boundaries and clear lines of understanding – sometimes the demands of therapy ‘draws’ a client away (consciously or unconsciously) and together we need to be able to manage this.
